history of computers in Pakistan

    1969: The Farooq Alvi brothers in Lahore, Pakistan, created (c)Brain, a boot sector computer visur, one of the first computer visurses in history. They built the virus to discourage piracy of software they had written.

Patterson claimed that May 2008 opening of an Apple Store in Pakistan was “a landmark of American investors’ confidence in Pakistan. Information technology, especially in the personal computer sector, has grown phenomenally in Pakistan. The combination of internationally competitive costs and high-speed connectivity make Pakistan an attractive destination for IT investment.”
